Battelle Energy Alliance, the company that manages and operates the Idaho National Laboratory, offers an annual funding opportunity to local and regional nonprofit organizations. Grants are open to area charities, with a focus on supporting rural and underserved communities.
“We are proud to support the region where our employees live, work and play,” said John Revier, INL’s Acting Director of Community and Regional Engagement. “The grants elevate organizations providing essential services at a time when many families are struggling to make ends meet.”
The 2023 grant application is available here on the INL website. The electronic form for charitable donations will close on October 1, 2022.
BEA provides corporate donations through the INL Community Giving program to support agencies that focus on health and human services, environment and sustainability, veterans and civic activities, and culture and Arts.
“The program enables agencies to work on behalf of children and disadvantaged people,” said Misty Benjamin, community relations and philanthropy program manager at INL. “We are deeply invested in our community and committed to funding programs that feed the hungry, provide shelter to those in need and help families get back on their feet.
Applications for community grants will be assessed based on community impacts and service area. Organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit entities. Applicants must include a copy of the tax exemption letter from the IRS and a W-9 form.
Since 2005, BEA has invested in nonprofit organizations working on behalf of underserved populations throughout the region.
Organizations with questions about the application process should contact email@example.com.
