SAN DIEGO – The San Diego County Employee Charitable Organization is now accepting applications for the 2022 CECO grants. Grant applications must be received by Monday, November 1.
In 2021, CECO distributed $138,519 among 86 local nonprofit programs, including: Alpha Project for the Homeless, Blind Community Center of San Diego, Kitchens For Good, Promises2Kids and Words Alive. CECO grants can be used for tangible items such as equipment, furniture, and other durable goods that directly benefit the population served by the program. Since 1956, CECO has funded local nonprofit programs with a mission to lend a helping hand to meet the diverse needs of San Diego. CECO is funded by the generosity of San Diego County employees and retirees. One hundred percent of contributions are redirected to the local community.
