Glens Falls Bank parent company to donate $75,000 to charities

GLENS FALLS, NY (NEWS10) – Arrow Family of Companies, a trio of financial institutions across the North Country, announced this week that it is pledging to donate $75,000 divided among 20 service groups from health and social services in its service area.

Arrow Family of Companies includes Glens Falls National Bank, Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company, and Upstate Agency, LLC, all of which are owned by Arrow Financial Corporation. All of the money recipients provide services in the eight counties where Arrow’s services operate.

“As part of our month of thanks in November, we want to express our sincere gratitude to the frontline organizations that directly help individuals and businesses in our communities,” Arrow Chairman Thomas J. Murphy said in a statement. A press release. “As a community bank, we recognize the important work our nonprofits do to uplift our neighbors and help them through difficult times.”

In the Glens Falls area, grantees include Alliance for Positive Health, Family YMCA of the Glens Falls Area, Silver Bay YMCA, Salvation Army of Glens Falls, WAIT House, and Warren-Washington Association for Mental Health.

Further into the North Country, other grantees include Behavioral Health Services North, the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity of Clinton and Franklin Counties, the North Country Ministry and the YMCA of Plattsburgh.

Capital Area and Albany Area grantees include AlbanyCanCode, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area, Capital District YMCA, City Mission of Schenectady, Franklin Community Center, Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless, Mechanicville Area Community Services Center, Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council, TRIP & RCHR and Wellspring.

Arrow is committing the money as part of its “Month of Thanks” initiative, focusing on supporting efforts around child care, affordable housing, food insecurity and other community issues.
