The Harps Food Store, located in the Highland Square Mall in Highland, donated a check for $500 each to the American Legion Post 336 in Williford and the House of Luke Ministries in Cherokee Village. The checks were presented to the store on December 16 by store manager Kenny Haney.

Billie Suiters, commander of the American Legion in Williford, said the donation will go towards Christmas gift baskets for 20 to 30 families in the Williford community. House of Luke Ministries, led by Senior Pastor Tom Prokop, will use the donated funds in their disaster relief mission across the country and to help heal souls wounded by God and Jesus Christ.

Harps food stores in four Midwestern states (Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma) are offering similar holiday donations to charities within their local communities.

Harps also donated $500 to the American Legion in Williford.
