The Guild coordinated its efforts with The Consignment Shop of Flemington for Victims of Domestic Violence, a non-profit store that supports individuals and families in Hunterdon County.
Sandra DeSapio received the donations on behalf of Flemington’s nonprofit Consignment Shop for Domestic Violence Victims. She thanked the Guild for their continued support and indicated that the items will not only be provided to SAFE in Hunterdon, which is dedicated to providing safety and support services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, but also to Family Promise of Hunterdon County Inc., which is dedicated to ending homelessness, and Fisherman’s Mark in Lambertville, which offers responsive and ongoing community programs and services.
“Our holiday clothing drive focuses on the practical items that women and children need in these shelters, such as new slippers, flannel pajamas and socks,” said Guild co-chairs Robin Nissenfeld and Lisa Savino. “Having a nice pair of slippers or new pajamas helps the recovery process. Our generous members are happy to support the charities of Hunterdon County in this way.
